Project Niu provides an incredible opportunity for teachers and students to learn both in and out of the classroom. It includes hands-on, project-based learning opportunities and "outdoor experiences" to complement in-class lessons. The science and environmental stewardship curricula are designed to meet sixth-grade requirements outlined in the Hawaii Content and Performance Standards. Many of these lessons are easily adapted to other grade levels as well.
