I’ve been having so much fun! The people at Archinoetics have been taking me out of the office a whole bunch lately!
Niu's First Photo
Submitted by Niu on Tue, 11/25/2008 - 6:58pmEverything is coming together Journal! So much has been going on!
I’ve been going out of the office more to run more battery and solar panel tests – but this time, I’ve been out for an entire WEEK instead of just the weekend! It’s not that I don’t like spending time with the people at Archinoetics, but I need to be out and FREE! That’s why I can’t wait until I’m out surfing the ocean!

possible location for the niu sensor
Submitted by benbryant on Sat, 11/22/2008 - 8:27pmWhy don't we put the niu sensor at the most popular tourist beach? It seems likely to be the highest concentration of trash.

Great news! A bunch of stuff happened since I last talked to you.
The coolest part was that I actually got a chance to leave the office over the weekend. The people at Archinoetics wanted to do some tests on my solar panels and batteries. They wanted to see how the solar panels read and if the battery was charging. (I don’t know about you, but I was looking more forward to the sunbathing than the testing.) The only down side to the weekend was that it rained practically the whole time! Good thing I had something to cover up with or I would have been in big trouble.
Simple Peace

Thinking of Niu out there in the ocean all alone, experiencing its own unique kind of solitude, I'm reminded of a poem I wrote to make a mental snapshot of a special moment in time I spent on the other side of the Pacific. Please Allow me to share:
